Hey! I know it’s been a while! Well, 2022 passed, and 2023 will be over soon too! That’s just plain crazy! Crazy how much happens in a year, how fast it goes by, and everything in between! Since the years almost over, that means we’re down to last 4 holidays of the YEAR! The one that will happen in approximately 32 days! Thaaaats right! Break out the candy corn and the over planned trick or treating map of your neighborhood, cause it’s time for Halloween! BOO! Did I scare you? I hope not! Personally, I don’t love the idea of being scared, scary corn mazes, the creepy outfits, it’s just not my favorite thing. Nonetheless, I do enjoy going around and collecting candy from people’s houses! One of my favorite things to do during the holiday of Halloween has to do with a corn maze! We do girls verses boys with some of my cousins, and race through the corn maze! We usually do the Vosler farms one in Visalia! Last year, the boy team won, but I have a feeling that the girls are going to take home the gold this year! Or take home the pumpkins I should say! I’m not sure what my family will be doing this year costume-wise. I’ve learned from experience that I can’t handle a wig; I end up taking it off and changing my character. I told my brothers, that this year, I was going to be tired! That way, I could go in pajamas, and my trick or treating bag, could just be a pillow and pillowcase! However, I think that will definitely up the chancing of me sugar crashing before we get home! What are you going to be this year with your family for Halloween? I hope it’s something cool! Some years ago, my cousins went as Star Wars, and that was really cool! Me and my brothers were the Incredibles last year, and a few years before that, we were Jessie and Woody from Toy story! Well, me and jack were, Pete, unlike the rare year where he dressed up as baby jack-jack from the Incredibles, Pete is usually spider-man! I think he was spider-man until he was about 4, then he began to dress up as something different. He’s 5 now, and I’m hoping he can be something nice for Halloween this year! Jack’s always a toss-up, I never really know what he’s going as, and he changes from year to year on his plan. This year, I’m pretty sure he suggested pirates for our family. I could see that!

This year for Halloween, I’m going to try and distribute my candy to other kids at my Tia’s Halloween party. I don’t want to eat too much this year! Last year, I tried this as well, and I remember it being rewarding when my brothers felt sick, and I was ready for anything, because I hadn’t eaten much candy. I think it’s important that even on candy holidays, like Halloween, we try and still be healthy! Of course, no candy is not what I’m saying! Trust me, if someone puts a Reese’s or two in my bag, you can’t stop me! But something like a whole bag of candy in an hour, can’t be good for you! Fortunately, there’s tons of candy out there that isn’t too bad for you, and you would be happy to eat on Halloween night! I know skittles look good but stay away from the red ones! It is proven that skittles have Red 40 in them, which is really bad for you! So, stay away from those skittles, okay?
In my opinion, Halloween is fun, but all the creepy ghouls could never scare me too much! I have Jesus by my side, and I know that he is here for me, and will never let me be scared by something as fake as a witch, or a creepy clown. I want to share a few verses regarding some of the things you could encounter and fall into on Halloween.
- Ephesians 5:11- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].
- Ephesians 4:27- Neither give place to the devil.
- 1 Corinthians 10:21- “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons.”
- 1 Peter 5:8- “Be sober-minded; be watchful.”
- 1 Thessalonians 5:22- “Abstain from every form of evil.”
- Isaiah 5:20- “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.”
- Romans 13:12- “The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.”
Remember, It does not mean don’t celebrate it! Just know that God is keeping you safe, and make sure that you stay safe as well! Don’t fall into any of Satan’s terrible traps that look so innocent on a night as fun and full of candy as Halloween! I hope your holiday is filled with fun and safety! TTYL! ❤️😊
